Strencom Appoints Tom Byrne as Head of Channel Development

Strencom, the business IP services provider, has announced the appointment of Tom Byrne as head of channel development with overall responsibility for developing and managing Strencom’s channel strategy and partner base.  This will include the recruitment of a network of channel and alliance partners for its new channel partner program.

He joins Strencom from the Calyx Group where, over the course of ten years, he held several senior management positions in its business development and channel management operations.  His most recent position was as country sales manager for the voice telephony division.   Prior to this, Tom worked for Supplies Team where he held the position of corporate account manager for two years.

With eighteen years experience in the IT and telecommunications sector, Tom brings to Strencom a substantial knowledge of the channel network in Ireland, proven partner relationships and a strong customer focus. 

Tom holds a business management diploma from the Irish Management Institute (IMI) and is currently in the final year of a Masters in Business Administration at the IMI.
