Strencom’s New Channel Strategy to Play Key Role in Growth Plan

• Channel partner sales to account for 70% of overall revenues
• Strencom aims to double in size in next three to four years
• Wide area network service targets IT service providers, resellers and systems integrators

Strencom, the business IP services provider, today announced a major new marketing strategy with the launch of its new channel partner programme. Its initial channel offering is a managed wide area network service for systems integrators and IT resellers serving medium sized Irish organisations. Channel partner sales will play a key role as Strencom aims to double in size in the coming three to four years. Strencom aims to drive 70% of its revenue through the channel program.

The recruitment of partners is underway and already two of Ireland’s leading ICT providers, TelnePulse and TSG, have signed-up.

Strencom’s research into the Irish channel identified that companies are increasingly looking for a single source for their entire IT infrastructure and network. The research showed that for most Irish IT resellers, the missing link is the ability to design, build and manage a wide area network (WAN) for companies with multi-site locations.

Tom Byrne, Strencom’s head of channel development, said, “We are looking to partner with Ireland’s leading systems integration and IT service providers. We believe that we have a very compelling package of a flexible all Ireland and UK network, as well as an ability to audit customer needs and then deliver a custom-fit solution, which delivers a lower total cost of ownership network plan.”

Tim Murphy, managing director, Strencom, said, “The channel partner program is a significant step forward in Strencom’s business growth strategy. It will support the company’s ambitious expansion targets, which include doubling the size of the company and increasing annual revenues by EUR4M over the next 3-4 years. We are investing a significant amount of time, money and resources into this program, and given our size and flexibility, I believe that we are the only wide area network provider in Ireland with the capability to deliver tailored solutions to channel partners in the voice and data industry.”
