Strencom Ranked in Deloitte Fast 50
Strencom attributes its 93 % Percent Revenue Growth to providing our customers with innovative new solutions for their Internet and Wide Area Network communications needs, and providing an exceptionally high level of Customer Service which you will not receive from many of the multinationals in the same industry, as well as very competitively priced solutions, which in many cases cut the customer’ existing cost base by 50%.
Cork, 17th January 2005 – Strencom today announced that it ranked Number 50 in the 2004 Deloitte Technology Fast 50, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Ireland, sponsored by InterTradeIreland’s Equity Network. Rankings are based on average percentage revenue growth over five years.
Strencom’s CEO, Tim Murphy, credits a strong focus on the customer needs, new innovative products and exceptional customer service with the company’s 93% revenue growth over the past five years. He said, “This is really a pat on the back for all the staff in Strencom, as they work very hard year round to exceed the expectations of our customers. And for all our customers, its confirmation that they are using one of the most innovative and fastest growing ISP’s in Ireland, and they can be confident going forward that their needs are being looked after”.
Announcing the winners of the fifth Technology Fast 50 Programme, David O’Flanagan, Partner with Deloitte, Dublin said: “The fast 50 Programme has always been a reliable indicator of whether innovation is leading to more growth and wealth creation. These companies have demonstrated how to survive and thrive in today’s market by helping their customers reduce their costs and improve their performance. We are delighted that InterTradeIreland’s Equity Network and IEE have joined us in encouraging fast-growing companies to showcase their businesses and to contribute to the next wave of innovation in the Irish Technology sector”.
O’Flanagan continues “this programme seeks out those companies that have shown impressive growth rates in the telecommunications, hardware, software and biotechnology markets over the last five years. Despite the difficult global environment, Irish technology companies are continuing to grow with average turnover growth of more than 332% in a five-year period. We are delighted to see that many companies have achieved a ranking in all previous Fast 50 programmes – including Conduit, VistaTEC, Connect Global Solutions, Mapflow and Qumas. We are also pleased to see 12 new entrants in this year’s programme with internet, communication/networking and biotech companies making an entrance”.
The Technology Fast 50 programme recognises and ranks the fastest-growing technology companies in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
